About Southern Shell Studio 850

Southern Shell Studio 850 was founded by Amber D. Sutton, an artist whose work is deeply rooted in her Cherokee heritage and her spiritual connection to the natural world. Amber believes that every shell, stone, and piece of earth carries its own memory — a story shaped by time, water, wind, and Creator.

As a mother of four, Amber has always found solace and clarity in the rhythm of the shoreline. Walking the sands of Navarre Beach and Okaloosa Island, she gathers shells with intention, honoring the traditions passed down through her Cherokee bloodline: to listen to the land, to respect its gifts, and to create with gratitude.

Each piece of handcrafted jewelry or coastal art begins with a shell chosen by hand, guided by intuition and reverence. Amber blends the wisdom of her ancestors with the beauty of the Emerald Coast, transforming natural elements into meaningful, spirit-led creations. Her work celebrates identity, healing, heritage, and the quiet messages found where land, sea, and spirit meet.

Southern Shell Studio 850 is more than a studio — it is a living expression of ancestry, artistry, and the sacred bond between people and the natural world.
